Acceptance of Terms

By using LeesSom, you agree to these terms. If you are creating an account on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you accept these terms on their behalf.

App Description

LeesSom is a Dutch educational app for primary school children offering learning activities in arithmetic (rekenen), reading (lezen), and topography (topografie). It is available on iOS, Android, and the web.

Age Requirement and Parental Consent

LeesSom is intended for children in Dutch primary education (ages 4–12). Children under 13 may only use the app under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Account registration requires a parent or guardian email address. Players of any age can use the app in guest mode without registration.

By registering an account, the parent or guardian confirms they have provided consent for their child's personal data to be processed as described in our Privacy Policy.

Parent / Guardian Account Responsibility

Registered accounts should be created and managed by a parent or guardian. You are responsible for all account activity, including child profile management and keeping login credentials secure.

Use of the App

Permitted use is personal learning and gameplay. You must not abuse social features, create misleading profiles, use automated scripts or bots, or try to bypass the app's security or scoring logic.

User Accounts and Social Features

LeesSom includes invite-code based friends and challenge features. There is no open chat system. Accounts may be limited or terminated for misuse of social or gameplay systems.

Virtual Items

XP, achievements, streaks, and avatar unlocks have no real-world cash value and cannot be redeemed or transferred outside the app.

Crash Reporting & Diagnostics

The app can collect anonymized crash reports and performance data via Sentry to improve stability. This is enabled by default and can be disabled at any time in Settings → Privacy & support → Crashrapporten. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Intellectual Property

The app, branding, and related assets are owned by the developer unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or redistribute them without permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential damages from app use.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands (Dutch law).

Changes to These Terms

Terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version is shown on this page with the updated date.
