Watch on your TV
How to watch Watch More on a TV: AirPlay from iPhone and iPad, Chromecast, DLNA smart TVs, or the Android TV app.
Pick the way that fits your TV
- AirPlay, from iPhone and iPad to an Apple TV or an AirPlay-compatible smart TV.
- Chromecast, from iPhone, iPad and Android to a Chromecast or a TV with Google Cast built in.
- DLNA, from iPhone, iPad and Android to smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony and similar brands.
- The Android TV app, which runs Watch More on the TV itself with a remote-friendly layout.
Cast a channel or a film
- Make sure your phone or tablet and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Start playback in Watch More and tap the cast button in the player controls.
- Choose your TV. Playback moves to the TV and your phone becomes the remote.
AirPlay and DLNA are always available from the player controls. Chromecast stays off until you turn it on inSettings › Casting, because it uses Google's casting service.
What travels to the TV
To play a stream, the TV needs its address. For most providers that address contains your login, so casting gives the TV your stream credentials. Watch More tells you this before your first cast. Only cast to TVs you trust.
If the TV does not show up
- Check that both devices are on the same network and not on a guest network.
- For a DLNA TV, you can enter its address by hand. Find it in the TV's network settings.
- Some streams use formats a TV cannot play directly. If a stream will not start on the TV, play it on your phone or tablet instead.
