Parental controls and kids profiles

How to set a parental controls PIN in Watch More, lock adult categories, and give children a kids profile that only shows family-friendly content.

Parental controls, included in the free tier

Parental controls hide or PIN-lock adult content across browsing, search and the TV guide.

  1. Open Settings › Parental Controls and turn them on.
  2. Set a PIN, then enter it a second time to confirm it.
  3. Choose which categories to lock. A locked channel or title asks for the PIN before it plays.

The PIN is kept in the secure storage of your device and never leaves it, not even in a backup. Turning parental controls off later keeps your locked categories, so turning them back on is quick.

A profile for each child, with Watch More Pro

The free tier has one profile. Watch More Pro adds household profiles, so everyone gets their own favourites, watch history and Continue Watching.

  1. Set a parental controls PIN first. The PIN is what stops a child from switching away from their profile.
  2. Open Settings › Profiles, tap Add Profile and turn on Kids Profile.
  3. Hand over the device. A kids profile only shows family-friendly content, and leaving it asks for the PIN.

Good to know

  • Family-friendly filtering uses the categories and ratings your source provides. Check a few categories yourself, because providers label content differently.
  • After a parental session, Watch More locks again on its own when the device has been idle or in the background for a few minutes.
  • Restoring a backup on a new device never turns parental controls on without a new PIN.
